As if for old times’ sake, there came Pam, fashionably late and stunning as ever, as both friends ordered a couple of ristrettos and a few croissants.
After catching up from the usual chitchat, Jim told Pam about his personal life and his late struggles with sleep, dates, and pretty much life itself. He was waking up in the middle of the night having strange nightmares, struggled in bed a lot before finding a sweet spot to sleep on, felt body aches and pains throughout the day, and couldn’t for the life of him make his dates come back to his place.
Pam couldn’t make sense of any of this, especially on the last issue because, in her eyes, Jim was a likable young man – well, besides the fact that he collected jars of dirt and sand from the places he’s been, but who was she to judge?
Suddenly, it all became clear when she asked him about his mattress, and he said it was the same one he had back in high school (and that was before Obama). At least, now they knew who the enemy was, but he insisted that it had sentimental value to it and admitted he couldn’t afford a new one just yet.
Pam, a lifesaver as she’s always been, gave Jim some tips on choosing the right kind of mattress and pillows on a budget – she particularly favored the shredded memory foam products, which was ideal for hot sleepers like herself.
- Depending on your sleeping position, the ideal firmness will vary. Softer surfaces are excellent for side sleepers, while firmer mattresses work best for stomach sleepers and back sleepers.
- A memory foam mattress is ideal for people looking for pressure relief, and it can work wonders for both cold and hot sleepers, but make sure to check if it’s shredded foam and if it has some form of cooling agent.
- Don’t forget about pillows. Having a comfortable mattress to sleep on is only but the first step, and they should match this new investment to provide additional support and sleep quality. This Gel Infused Fiber Memory Foam Pillow with Removable Cover from Xtreme Comforts is the top choice for hot and cold sleepers alike, thanks to its cooling gel technology.
